How we built the brand, website and launch campaign for EVTechnicia 2026, an EV components expo in India, from naming and identity to a registration platform built to convert.

The Brief
EVTechnicia 2026 needed a complete brand identity and digital presence for a first-of-its-kind EV components expo in India. The challenge was specific. Create a brand that felt cutting-edge and technological while being accessible to both industry veterans who had spent decades in automotive and newcomers entering the electric vehicle space for the first time. The brand needed to work at poster scale on trade-show backdrops, at thumbnail size on LinkedIn ads, in two languages, and across three very different audience segments. And it needed to arrive as a fully-formed brand from day one, because an industry expo with a half-baked identity is immediately dismissed as amateur. This is the full story of how we built EVTechnicia from a blank page to a launched brand in under ten weeks.
The Market Context
The Indian EV market in 2025-2026 is at an inflection point. Government incentives, falling battery costs, and consumer willingness to switch have pushed adoption past the tipping point. But the ecosystem around EVs, component suppliers, infrastructure firms, service networks, has lagged the consumer market. EVTechnicia was founded to close that gap, giving component suppliers and OEMs a single event where the whole ecosystem could meet. For a brand launching into that context, the positioning had to signal 'this is the serious industry event' without feeling corporate or stuffy, and without copying existing trade show templates that nobody in the EV space responds to.
Naming and Identity
The name EVTechnicia was crafted to blend 'EV' with 'Technicia', a coined word evoking both technology and expertise with a distinctly technical-sounding cadence. The visual identity used a charged green-to-blue gradient representing the electric energy spectrum, paired with a geometric logomark inspired by circuit board traces and battery cell arrangements. We intentionally avoided literal car silhouettes, battery icons, and lightning bolts, the three clichés that dominate every other EV brand in the market. The result was an identity that signalled 'electric technology' without looking like it was trying to signal 'electric technology', which is exactly how distinctive brands in crowded categories get built.
The Digital Platform
We designed and developed a full event website with exhibitor registration, visitor booking, speaker profiles, sponsor showcases and event information. It has to handle traffic spikes during registration windows and work flawlessly on mobile, where most registrations happen. Performance was a priority for both experience and search: pages are lean, images are optimised and every form is stripped to the minimum fields needed, so a visitor arriving from a LinkedIn ad can register in about a minute.
Content Strategy and SEO
The event needs to be found for searches such as 'EV components expo India' and 'electric vehicle trade show'. We planned a content hub with articles on EV industry trends, supplier profiles and speaker announcements, each written for a specific group of searches. Pages carry structured data: Event markup for the expo, Person markup for speakers, Organization markup for sponsors and FAQ markup for registration and visitor questions, so search engines and AI assistants can understand and surface the event.
Launch Strategy
The launch campaign targets three audience segments in parallel: EV manufacturers, component suppliers and industry investors. We planned LinkedIn thought-leadership campaigns with outreach to decision-makers at target companies, Google Ads on high-intent EV industry searches, and email sequences to curated industry lists. Each audience sees different ad creative and landing page variations tuned to its own priorities, so a supplier and an investor each land on a page that speaks to them.
Pre-Event Engagement
Most events treat the months between launch and the event as dead time. We treat them as a content engine. Each week EVTechnicia publishes a piece of thought leadership, a behind-the-scenes update or a speaker and exhibitor spotlight, shared across LinkedIn, the website and email. The aim is simple: keep registered visitors and exhibitors engaged right up to the event, and keep the brand visible in industry feeds so new registrations keep arriving.
The On-Site Brand System
A digital-only brand is only half the job for an event. We designed a full on-site brand system for the expo in October 2026: trade show backdrops, stage signage, exhibitor booth templates, speaker lower-thirds, badges, wayfinding, printed agendas and branded merchandise. Every piece uses the same gradient system, typography hierarchy and spatial rhythm, so the event feels like one coherent experience instead of a hall of unrelated booths. Exhibitors and sponsors receive the brand guidelines so their own creative sits naturally within the event identity.
Where It Stands
EVTechnicia launched with a complete identity, a fast registration website and a campaign running across search, LinkedIn and email, ahead of the expo on 22 to 24 October 2026. The site is built to load quickly on mobile, every page carries structured data for search engines, and every enquiry is tracked back to the campaign that produced it. We will share the full results once the event has taken place.
The Decisions That Shaped It
Three decisions shaped the project. One: we invested in positioning and audience research before touching design, so every visual decision is grounded in how a specific audience will respond rather than personal preference. Two: we built the event as a brand first and a website second, which gives every touchpoint a consistent voice and makes the event feel established from day one. Three: we treat pre-event content as marketing infrastructure, not an afterthought, so the brand stays in front of its audience for the whole run-up to the expo.
Lessons for Event Brands
Event brands are a specific and underserved niche in brand design. Most events either use a generic conference template or try to reinvent every visual element from scratch without a coherent system. The sweet spot is a simple brand system with clear rules that scales across dozens of touchpoints without needing a designer in the room for every new asset. Build the guidelines documentation once, hand it to exhibitors and sponsors, and trust them to execute within the system. Every hour spent building a real system saves twenty hours of one-off design work during the event production phase.
